An AU where they are rival magicians, anyone?
It somehow makes so much sense in my head. :D

“Well hello there, Mr. Hummel.”
Kurt jumped as the Magnificent Blaine Anderson slid onto the bar stool next to his, trying to tamper down his blush. He would have been much more successful if he hadn’t just drank two martinis. “Mr. Anderson.”
“Please, call me Blaine,” he said, his signature charming smile threatening to crack the confines of his face.
“Then call me Kurt,” he said amiably.
“Kurt.” Blaine smiled. “That was very impressive today—making the lovely Miss Berry disappear in the trunk. I’ve still to figure out how you accomplish it.”
“And your cards tonight were equally impressive,” Kurt countered. “You get me every time with that trick.”
“I’ll tell my secret if you tell yours?” Blaine offered with a wink.
Kurt smiled. “It’s no secret,” he smiled, twirling his pinky through Blaine’s drink. “It’s mere guiding the eye where you want it to look.” The liquid turned a bright turquoise and a miniature silk parasol rested in the ice.
Blaine smiled mysteriously. “We both know that magic is real, Kurt.” He reached over, stroking Kurt’s hair, pushing it behind his ear. “It’s just a matter of where you look for it.” His finger came away with a small white butterfly perched on it from behind Kurt’s ear. He blew it daintily off his finger and it fluttered around the bar.
Blaine leaned in close, causing Kurt’s breath to catch. “I’ll see you around, Kurt Hummel.”
Kurt turned back to his martini after Blaine left. Of course he knew magic was real.
Because Blaine had somehow managed to bewitch him.
