Friendly reminder that when the writers do something bad/offensive/unfortunate etc., we should blame the writers and not other characters/fandoms that happened to escape the writers’ attention.

The fault is with the writers, not the characters or the fans.

Welp, you unleashed the ranter.

I’m sorry, HOW was Quinn staying in her chair IN THE WRONG? She managed to stand up - for a short period of time. And she walked a few steps - before falling.

Oh yeah, and this was all DURING PHYSIO. In a safe place surrounded by doctors and cushions.

Oh, and did you perchance not notice how much effort it took her to stand up during the final number, and how she still needed Santana’s physical support to do so?

She wasn’t lying about her condition, the way Finn said. She was definitely exaggerating it, but she still needed that chair.

And the whole point of that scene was that Finn tried to force her from her chair IN PUBLIC. When he - very obviously - had NO UNDERSTANDING OF HER PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS AT ALL.

If he was such a “good” friend, he would maybe have tried that in the hallway, or the bathroom, or somewhere private. He had his chance to speak his piece in the lady’s bathroom -that was a good scene. That was Finn speaking his mind to Quinn in a way that didn’t humiliate either of them.

Because yeah, you call out your friends when you think they’re pulling shit - but you DON’T DO IT IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL WHILE SHE’S IN A PROM DRESS. He wasn’t “calling her out” - he was intentionally attempting to publicly humiliate her at prom. To me, that makes you a vengeful asshole, not a friend. And then he called her a bitch.

FOR CONTINUING TO STAY IN THE CHAIR SHE STILL NEEDS. That’s the thing - she’s on the way to recovery so, yeah, she shouldn’t be using the “I’m a permanent cripple” pity vote - but she still needs that fucking chair!

Oh, and if he was such a “good” friend, Finn should have been fucking ECSTATIC that Quinn could walk - instead, he’s all, “omg how durr you manipulate me into leaving rachel with your womany wiles.” That’s the FIRST THING HE THINKS ABOUT. The FIRST THING. Not WOW MY FRIEND WHO WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT CAN WALK, but OMG THIS WHORE WOMAN IS A VILE LIAR WHO RUINED MY LIFE.

Think about it for just a split second, can you? What would have actually happened in Finn had pulled her from her chair? Guess what? Unprepared, and still in physical recovery, Quinn would have fallen on her ASS in front of the WHOLE SCHOOL. And she would probably have hurt herself.

But I guess that’s Finn “Captain White Privilege” Hudson for you - making uninformed decisions about us unstable, untrustworthy women for our own good.
